Porting intake ?

I would like to port match the intake to the gasket, but I was wondering about the injector pad (in the runners). Do you leave them alone or remove em?

I assume you mean the little bump to the rear of the injector hole when looking in the runner. I removed mine. No ill effects so far.

I thought the bump goes all the way around the injector hole. I was thinking of smoothing about 3/4 of and inch from the end of the intake runner heading (where it meets the head). Just a simple match port to the head. But I was concerned about the ceiling area of the intake, since the injector sits there. Sorry if this sounds stupid. The reason I didn't order a ported intake is because I want to retain my egr system and most ported intakes have the EGR ports milled out.
