? plastic guage pods for GN

You guys are familiar with the dual gauge pods that sit on the console in a T or GN. I have them in my GN for 2 1/8" guages. I was wondering if anyone makes this center console pod to accomodate two 2 5/8" gauges. I want to change to mechanical oil pressure from electric so I'll know what my actual oil pressure is and I like the bigger gauges. All help appreciated.

i don't know any off the top of my head but is there enough room to remove some material off the 2 1/8" console gauge pod to fit 2 5/8" gauges?

No, the housing is too small.

that sucks. i wanted 2 5/8" gauges too. i like the big honking gauges.

i used a two hole universal 2 5/8" panel on my 280zx turbo. i made a aluminum plate to mount under the top of my dash where the plastic trim goes then mounted the panel on top of that so i had a 2 5/8" tach and boost gauge directly in my line of sight. it was pretty cool and didn't affect my field of view either. here's the link to the panel.

maybe you can rig something up with one of those panels.

I have one of those also. Can't see why no one made a pod for the console in 2 5/8".

i made my own. it looks good IMO. i just used 3 guage cups and some 1/4 hard board.


i'll take some pics this weekend when i am at my parents house if you want.
