I did a Ttype dash/harness swap in in my hybrid El Camino. I also did the Ttype column that I bought off the board some time ago. I took the column to a guy who disassembled it for paint and reassembled it. I installed it and when I took the column shift lever out of park the switch fell out of the column. Looking at the El Camino column, it has some tabs in it for screws to hold the switch to the column. The Regal column has no such tabs. The El switch has a metal bracket on the back for these screws to go through, the Regal has no back on it. Having never seen either before, how does the Regal switch attatch the column? I believe the El switch will physically go in place of the Regal one, but the layout of the connectors are different. It looks like the Regal column uses a different way to mount the switch, but I don't have anything to campare it to.
