Pan Gasket & RM Seal

I F'ed up the last Rear Main seal I did ~ 10 yrs ago by not rotating it around a little off of the cap-block surface, so I'm doing it again.

Have any of you guys found any one brand of Neoprene seal to be better than the others ? Also I seem to remember in the distant past that Kenny Dutweiler recommended a cork Oilpan gasket that was thicker than the average one. Anybody know anything about that ?

i just use fel pro rm and cork oil pan gasket
