hey guys, i just recently had my fathers 87 GN handed down to me(finally!!!) and would like to get her on the road. She's been stock her whole life and has sat in the garage for the last 5 years. My goals with the GN are to have a fun street car, not a track monster(atleast for now):D I've done some researching and want to get her prepared for some mods in the next couple months. I've come up with this list and would like some opinions on hows it looking and if its a good start? Maybe some other things you guys think i should add? thanks in advance!

Looks like you are starting off in the right direction. Just take it slow scan tool first to see where your at and do the spring cleaning like plugs etc. Stay out of the go pedal till the fuel pump, boost gauge and scan tool are on it and you'll be fine. Error on the side of saftey. Congrats on getting a TB nice to keep it in the family.

So far, so good. Get a hotwire kit, make sure you replace all the filters (air, oil, fuel), plug wires. Check the drivers side header for cracks, maybe swap out the older injectors for an upgrade and then a matching TT chip.:p

thanks for the input guys! any recommendations on plug wires? are they all the same? i was lookig at the msd 8.5mm or should i just go with the ac delco?

Just go with some AC Delco's from your local parts store. They will work fine.

The two big name wires people use here are Magnacore and Russ Merritt. You can find Russ's wires at RJC Racing. Both are top notch.
