(non buick question) need malibu frame rails repaired

i need to find a decently price frame shop near chicago that can replace or repair the rear frame rails on a 81 malibu 4 dr

so far my quotes are 1050 replaced

or 500 repaired+reinforced (as a favor)

can anyone help?

we are talking rust not accident.

most circle track guys are use to piecing frames together

g body's and caprices are the most stolen and wanted cars ever
there almost never cheap and almost never not rusted to death
mine has great body but sucky rear sub frame

If it will help you your frame also fits 78-81 Century 4 door,78-81 Lemans coupe and 4 door and of course 78-83 Malibu coupe and 4 doors. If you can make your way to Daytona Beach I have a 82 Regal coupe frame(bare) I will give you just to get it out of my way. I dont have any idea what the difference between this frame and a 4 door frame is.

Maybe you should come up to Toronto Canada, and with the exchange rate... get the frame rails replaced at 1/2 the cost.

It cost me $650cdn. So with exchange rate... that's about $450-500US.

What you need to do is find someone that specializes to that type of frame repair.
