New B&M pistol grip shifter installed

Today I installed a new B&M Magnum Pro Stick pistol grip shifter. Took me about 3-4 hours from start to finish. I ordered the shifter from Jegs along with the 4 speed plate. I got the console overlay plate from Mark TR Customs. I removed the stock shifter and started to mock up where the new one needed to go. Installing the new shifter on the hump made it much too low. I decided to strip all the "guts" off the old shifter and use the body as a base. This also helps with re-mounting the center console. I measured the height and welded 2 pieces of flat stock across the base and then mounted the new shifter. Making sure the shifter is centered is critical. On the center console, I cut all the plastic out of the center except the mounting holes up front. I then ran the cable and hooked it up and made sure everything worked properly. Next I marked and cut the shifter plate using a metal cutting wheel. Now the bad part was installing the new overlay piece. Mark had 2 options. Hurst quarter stick or B&M pro stick. I got the pro stick thinking it would be the same just different handles....wrong. I decided to notch out there it was hitting. It came out OK. I could probably send it back to Mark and have him clean it up. All in all this is one serious shifter! Operates effortlessly with good clean positive shifts. My stock one was just sloppy. Here's a few pics of my install

I'm sure there has been a bunch of write ups on shifter installs but I figure adding another wouldn't hurt.

Reviving this, any pics of how you mounted it inside of the factory bracket. How'd it look?
