I'm getting ready to install Kirban valve springs (with heads on) and need to borrow/purchase a change out tool.

I took an old set of rocker shafts and cut them down, about 2 inches on either side of a rocker stud. cut the area out of a rocker that is right over the keepers, then spread the cut end open. I welded a piece of 1'' x 1'' sqaure tubing about 20'' long to the top of the pushrod side of the rocker at an agle so it is straight up when the rocker is sitting flat on the retainer. super easy, works like a charm!

U can use the rope method. Insert rope at Bottom of stroke thru spark plug hole and rotate motor up to compress rope and replace springs. HTH.
