need help with a/c blower

Blower motor works, relay is new, I can hear the vaccum engage the vent doors, but when I turn the fan switch on...nothing. Is there a way to check the switch or a more common problem? What's the easiest way to chase this gremlin down? Any help is appreciated.

Blower electrical diagnosis from 1987 service manual. Heading is an error at top of 1st page, disregard it.

start at the HVAC fuse.. if that's good, grab your test light and check for power out at the resister next to the fan motor- it's the plug that screws into the box with 4 or 5 wires on a flat connector. each of those wires is for a different speed.
