MASS CONFUSION on MAF HOUSINGS

Are the maf housings (screw holes) the same and just the inside bores are different? (Inside is 3" or 3.5" or 85mm etc.)

Will the 3" and 3.5" GM maf sensors both fit a stock 3" maf housing?

Will a 3" and 3.5" GM sensor fit a 85mm(SLP).....or Granatelli housing?

Do all the vendors use the same GM maf sensor?

Will they all plug right into the Trans plus unit?

The housings have the same bolt pattern.
But the sensors thesmselves have keys to index them.

5 mins with a Dremel tool or file and you can put a 3.5 sensor in a 3" housing.

The IDs are different.
If you cut the vane out of a 3" and install a 3.5" sensor you have very close to a 3.5 in flow and cal.

Yes they plug in the same.

For my combo the 3.5 in the 3" housing with custom tuning was best.
