King rod bearings

Are the "King" rod bearings the desired wide bearings that some motorheads like to use? It makes sence to use wide bearings if you can. Thanks.

I use Clevite CB-1398H bearings. They are one of the few race bearings that have a big chamfer to keep the bearing material away from the journal fillet.
They are available in STD, +.001 and -.001

Warning: They will not work on a narrow journal crank/rod without rework.

Are these the bearings you would use on a new standard forged steel crank, i.e. the one from Full Throttle?

Those bearings are for wide journal cranks. I believe all of the kit cranks are narrow journal.
