Does anyone know if there is anyway to look up or find the key codes for Ing. and door lock.

I do this for a living. For once I can answer a question. On cars this old GM no longer has the key codes on file. I have seen a few times where the salesperson wrote them on the owners maual. Other than that you will have to remove a door lock and ign. cylinder. There should be codes on them. You can take the codes to a local lockshop and have a key made.

I've lost my keys as well. Is there any way to at least find out how many codes were used for Regals in 86? If it's not that many, I'd rather have a bunch of keys made than have the steering wheel pulled. Also, I've been told a good locksmith can make a new key without pulling the ignition.. anyone find this to be true? thx!

I always heard there was a code on the end of the lock cylinder. A locksmith can make a key without pulling the ignition, yes.
