installing cd player

quick ?...how do you remove factory cassette player in my 85 regal. i could try but i dont want to break anything. Thanks in advance.

1) Remove trim plate by pulling outward slowly at all 4 sides.

2) Remove H/U mounting screws with a 7mm nut driver.

3) Pull out on H/U and unplug harnesses and antenna.

Before you go and start pulling on the radio/ac trim make sure to remove the 4 screws that hold it it.

The trim plate doesn't have screws , they have spring clips that hold it in place. The 84' thru '87 are the same.

Trim clips?? Well dang, Monte's have screws. I thought they were the same....
