Ignition breaking up at WOT and now it is gone. Thoughts?

I drool over the TR6,
that will allow you to widen the gap on the plugs, however there are plenty of cars with different combo's that make a lot of power and street drive on the stock ignition.i have not seen any problems gapping the plugs tighter when the tune is right.

Whoops! Finally had a chance to check the plug gap and they were all at .037, not .032. Looks like I screwed up last time I gapped them. I've been driving like this for God knows how long. I set them all to .028 for now and will see how it does. I didn't have a chance to take it out yet, but will do so in a couple days. I'll bet this is the whole reason I had to pull the timing back to 19 on pump / alky in the first place. Then pulling it to 17 this summer caused the sputtering. After gapping them I put the timing back up to 19 and will look for knock. If all clear I'll make sure to dial the AFR back in to 10.8-11.0. If I'm still all good I'll try to add another degree or 2. Stay tuned!
