Identifying a part

Sorry I don't have a pic of the item, I am trying to find out what is mounted to the top of my passenger side valve cover. It has a electrical connector and what looks like a couple vacuum nipples attached to it. These are not currently connected to anything, it was like this when I bought my car.
If I don't need it then I will remove it.

Sounds like the factory boost solenoid. Your car probably uses something aftermarket now. It was probably left there so the computer won't throw a code if it's removed.
