My car at the track is shifting @6200 bouncing off the rev limiter sometimes. How do I go about lowering the shift point? I backed off the TV a click or two with that not helping. I assume it's in the govenor, yes?

Increase the weight of the primary weight on the governor.

Way back in the '80s ATR had a note in their newsletter that said adding a short 6-32 screw, maybe 1/8 or 3/16" long, would lower the shift by 1-200, and a longer screw, maybe 3/8", would lower it about 400? That's all from memory, what little is left :).

Yes. I would get some governor assemblies with heavier weights and just grind some metal off to get the correct shift point. Weigh your existing primary weight (the small one) and start grinding. I use a gram scale to get accurate measurements.
