For all those loyal fans waiting, praying, whatever...the long awaited results from http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/general-turbo-buick-tech/215780-hiss-woosh-go-boom.html
Today at Mason-Dixon, Hagerstown, MD- mid 80's high humidity with occassional sprinkle delays;
12.502@106.32 1.678 60'
12.592@106.09 1.696 60'
12.297@105.97 1.634 60'
:biggrin:
1.666 60' 7.679@86.42 12.090!!!!@108.61-this was the 2nd run with about an hour cool down.
All runs were with 21-22#s, converter locked, 1psi launch (except the 10psi 12.297 spin out), 24/22 timing. My question is, where's the MPH?:(
I have stiffer valve springs, plenty of fuel pressure through the top end but at 5K it hits a wall. I think its the combo of the worn out long block and too much back pressure from the little t34, there was a mix-up at Cotton's re. a new Stage5 BB. Unfortunately, operator error nixed all of the days DS recording.
Praise Alky and WB tracking, CK, PTS, Buick:biggrin:
:biggrin: this engine has NEVER been opened-20 year old headgaskets must be seized to the block/heads!!
Chime in...

mason dixon! where were u on friday? i was the only ttype out there and there were about ten cars running total!

if ur not getting any knock retard maybe ur stock cam needs an upgrade, i believe it looses steam around 4800rpm or so. i have a 206/206 roller from weber racing and my car was pullin strong to 6000rpm or so... 117mph through the traps! im sure a nice set of ported heads also helps the top end! im sure ohers will chime in aswell. nice times!

Definitly not as many Buicks there as there used to be. I was the 1 today. I want to make it out there 2 fridays from now. I think this fri is just jrs. BTW theres a piece of my LR bumper filler on the return lane:eek:

Your mph is right for the times you ran. You hooked pretty decently. Last time out my car ran a string of 5 12.0x passes all at 108.xx mph.

Wendy wins the best sig contest, is Waggaman for real?! Awesome. Good to know.

Haven't checked lobe wear, but I do know theres about 70% blow by on #6! Compressor couldn't keep up when I changed the valve springs.
