I am having a friend who is a mechanic at a GM dealership convert my peg-leg to an Eaton posi unit. He hasn't done this before, but is sure he can get it done right with the help of some of the other mechs at the shop. Are there any instructions or hints posted anywhere that I can give him so he catches all the tricks? I trust he'll do it right, but want to help him as much as I can with good info. Please post any good hints. I did a search, and didn't find this topic addressed well.
I am not installing c-clip eliminators, but anything else that might be good to upgrade while it is apart? TIA. John.

I converted mine a few years back with a junkyard posi out of a 76 Trans Am. I had to use a spacer between the ring gear and posi carrier with this particular posi because the trans am had two something gears. Anyway, all I did was pull the open carrier, leave the side carrier shims in the same place, and shoved in the junkyard posi, buttoned up and added fluid. That was 90,000 miles ago.
