Has anyone used a BGC 3" d.p. & elbow

Tried to put my new(used) Bowling Green Custom 3"downpipe and elbow and 3" cat. on today.I wasn't happy with the fit so I had put all the stock stuff back on.What a PITA.The BGC downpipe appeared to be too long which made the exhaust hang way low.It also was right up against the plastic inner fender.It looks like if I had the d.p. shortened the top flared part is where it should be cut to make it fit.But then I would have to get it flared. Has any one else used one of these d.p.?How did it fit?problems rubbing?Thanks for any input.

mine fit fine-i believe you have to cut two coils off the mounting springs to get it right,then it should pull up just fine.HTH
