Fuel pump wiring

Dumb question but ill ask anyway. 15 years ago someone installed a homemade hot wire kit. I removed that, and am installing a dual razor fuel pump kit. When i turn on the key it wont turn on, but i can use a jumper wire from alt power to the female gray wire plug by alt. And it works. Only problem is that it then runs continuous with key off. What do i need to do so it works with ignition. Thx a bunch

Might have a bad relay on the pass fender. Might have been wired around when the hot wire was installed. Hard to know with out seeing about It. Might need to do some testing with a meter.

Relay is good

If that relay is good, you should have 12v at the rear bumper connector when the key is turned to run(you will need a helper to turn the key while you measure the voltage). If you have voltage there move further down the line.

It's possible you lost the signal from the ecm.

Run a jumper wire in the fp relay plug. Jump B and D. See if that works.

Ok another dumb question, my ecm isnt hooked up, as im mid installing FAST, would i need that hooked up for the relay to work?
