ok so just out of curiosity ..trying to wrap my head around fuel injection ...just for example say your fuel pressure was a little low for one reason or another the computer "should" pick up on this by the 02 readings being lean and its response is to try and leave the injectors open longer to try to correct this?

You are correct, the computer will correct for the lean condition whenever it's in "closed loop". Most stock computer setups are not in closed loop at full throttle since they use a narrow band oxygen sensor that it most accurate at 14.7 A/F. In order to get correction at full throttle you really should use a wideband oxygen sensor which is more accurate across a larger spectrum. Most aftermarket computers and modified stock computers use this sensor.

well thankyou for the information and the tip...what wideband o2 sensor are most guys running? and where is a good place to buy one?

There are a bunch of WBO2 kits out there. It really is a matter of preferance, the most popular is probably the LM1. Remember, if you want closed loop control where the computer corrects automatically, you are going to have to modify your stock setup or go aftermarket. The aftermarket will usually include the sensor with the setup
