Yep, the squared off look is the more recent design (last couple years now). Seems anyone with a factory rear & fabricated 9" loves the new look. For older style 9" guys, I still get a few that liked the rounded look. ALSO, the picture shows the axle brackets in a not-so great location. They should be as wide as possible for higher HP cars & drag racing. That would be around 26-1/2" to 27" center to center. Looks like those are more like 24" c-c. We have collars avail if you want to leave them there, of just reposition wide. Out there in the middle, the bar will shift to the side when you launch, delaying the transfer of power to the tires. Plus doesn't help for handling like that either. I see this more than I would like. As narrow as possible will soften the feel of the bar & help for milder daily drivers.
