Flashing Volt Light

At higher rpm the volt light flashes. With turbo link hooked up there the volts stay around 13-14 and no less than 12.1 at high rpm. Is that bad?

-Side bar question, I have a Red Armstrong chip, could it be that I am getting some knock, or its suppose to be a shift light or note one or the other. The car has been sitting for three years and I had just put the chip in before it was parked and remember very little about it.

? I'm pretty sure you are supposed to get a steady 14.5 volts at all times.....I may be wrong though.

Well I was swapping out the alternator from a TTA engine I have onto the GN to see if any luck. Happened to come across a cracked idler. Swaped that too. Every 15 it starts pouring and then clears up again. Working outside FTL. Now the alternator I swapped has a underdrive pulley and I dont have an impact over here. Done for the time being.
