Looking for a new roller camshaft for my new engine winter project I am building. I am retiring my stock longblock so I have matching numbers before I blow it up. I'm currently running a 6262 turbo at 28 pounds of boost but I want to preserve it. So I am building a 251 stroker (GN1 kit) 109 block with aluminum heads and ported stock intake. This car will see the track about twice a year as its mostly a street car. I do not want to sacrifice low end throttle response and don't need anything that makes peak power above 5200-5400. I want something with as little of a lumpy idle as possible so I want a mild cam. I was thinking of the Comp cam 206/206 or 210/210 but I see they are 110 centerlines. I would think 112 or 114 would be better? On top of that I know roller cams are extremely hard to get now. So what is everyone using? Does anyone have sound bits of their cams? Does anyone have any sources for roller cams right now? I wont' need the cam for about 3 to 4 months as there's enough work to keep the progress going.
