turbosam6, when you said the wide band was hooked up were you talking about a five-wire 02 sensor? If not could you elaborate?

It sounds like the standard O2 sensor could not even be classified as a rich/lean indicator if if was as far off as your comment seemed to imply.

Also, what are the max EGT you can get away with?

The oem GN O2 sensor is just barely, a rich lean indicator. It's only design requirement is to toggle across stoich.

EGT, and backpressure both seriously effect it's output.

If you ever get the chance run an oem one in parrarel with a WB, and you'll see how bad it is. I have, it's interesting, 810mv can be anywhere from 12.5 to 11.8 in back to make runs.
 
I'm not sure about the WB, it was on the chassis dyno. I must have forgotten to mention that. I haven't got to play with egt's yet, due to various problems with the car. I think a lot of guys out there are richer than they think, because they tune with the stock o2 sensor.
