dashboard lights

i recently installed a new head unit and since my lights in the speedometer area dont work...does anyone know what the problem could be?

Check your fuse for your dash lights and see if it is blown. The factory h/u has a provision for a dimmer input, it might have shorted out when you installed the new unit. I would start there first and see if it gets you anywhere.
If you can isolate which wire it is (been a long time, Im not sure the color) then make sure it is not grounding or touching another wire.

thanks...this may be a stupid question but where is the fuse located?

The fuse box is located under the driver side of the dash, up near the firewall.
If I had my car here I would check to see which one you should look at, but I put her up for the winter back home.
There should be one that is probably a 15 or 20 amp, and is marked with "gauges" I think.
