converted 84 to 87 ECM....

I installed the new adapter today and 87 coil/ign. module and car started as expected!! Thanks Brad Padgett, Jerryl, 84HAGN as well as others that posted, for your help and calls through the process--much appreciated. Thanks again

PS: any pointers or tips on removing the resistor wires...

Well i guess the 3 years i spent in class for industrial electronics does have a few advantages when it comes to chasing wires.:tongue:
As far as the resistance wire only thing i can say is 6 or 7 beers and it doesnt seem to bad:biggrin:
Just change the wires from the firewall connector(engine side) to the ignition connector.

Glad you got it running. :biggrin:
Face it, we all all in this together as we are a dying breed.
Lot sof cars being converted .......... Increased parts availability, less cars.
Leave the R-wire alone and add a HW.
