Not the same.
For 85, 86 & 87- the "T" in grey color is more like a velour.
The 85, 86 & 87 GN uses material referred to as "Palex".
In pre-85, T's and GN's used material referred to as "Brandon cloth". - Usually Sand Grey, but more resembling a Cream color.
