Code 44 again

Well this is the second time my car has given a code 44 it the lean code. But the car is running real rich. The ATR air fuel guage shows it rich and so does the back of my car. ( all covered in black exhaust stuff) Any clue what may be wrong?

No doubt your car is running rich but somewhere in the rpm band it is leaning out enough for it to trigger the code. Without looking at what's going on with a tuning program you won't no where it is running lean..............

Check the voltage of you TPS sensor, my GN once set this code and the idle voltage was well below .41 . I'd give that a try and make sure you are no higher than 4.7 @ WOT

.46-.48 @ idle is a good setting and the highest you'll get to with a stock sensor will be around 4.6-4.7. I ground out the hex screw holes in my tps and adj. it to give me 4.92 @ wot. And yes you can feel the difference from 4.6 to 4.9 at least i did.
