clevite bearings

I did not look up the PN but if the bearing is .001, it means that it is .001 oversized. Typically oversized bearings are because they go on a journal that is turned down, or undersized. The .001" is often used on standard sized cranks that need to be tightened up a bit.

cb1398hx can it be use to refresh rod/main bearings? or use standards oem's parts going to take the pan down not sure what surprises will incounter

need to measure the rod with a dial bore gauge and measure the rod journal with a micrometer to learn what the clearance will be. Often a .001 bearing is used to close up a loose engine but it is not a good idea to just put a bigger bearing in there without knowing how tight it will be.

That's the RIGHT way to do it, but: nearly impossible with the engine together. You can get a pretty good idea of your clearances, if you replace the bearings and plastigage them one at a time(torqued correctly, of course). ;)
