cam sensor question

I have a 87 gn project car (157,000 miles) that I am trying to get running properly. I have no scan tool but I have replaced plugs,wires.iac,tps.ign module,coil pack,ecm. The car idles rough and has a miss at idle, wot it falls on it's face. I have suspected the cam sensor so I upuged it while the car was running and it idled exactly the same. Could the cam sensor be the problem.

Just a shot in the dark, but are you sure you routed the plug wires properly?

Also, try resetting the cam sensor. Go here, and look under "tech pictures and instructions" section.
