Brake Fluid Leak

Last fall I got a brake light and determined that it was the accumulator ball, which I replaced and it solved the problem. But almost immediately after replacing it I got a brake fluid leak which accumulates on the floor just behind the driver side wheel. I started the car for the first time in 5 months today and with the key forward I heard the accumulator ball whining. I looked and there was no brake fluid on the low side. It does not appear to be leaking where the accumulator ball screws in. It almost looks like its wet on the back side of the powermaster just below the switch. Any ideas????

Has anyone had any luck just replacing the o ring on the pressure switch

Easy enough to do--just pump it down before removal. You will know right away if that is the problem. Could be that there are some bad o-rings inside the MC and that is where the leak is.

I just had a similar puddle under the car and it was the o ring on the motor (under the master cylinder). I replaced that and put a new brake switch for good measure and all is well.

Hope that helps!
