Body Wireing

I am having strange light and wiring issues, so I was wondering has anyone ever rewired there Buick? Not for racing but for street use with something like a painless kit?

On an car this old would it be easier to rewire or try and repair.

With proper diagnosis, the repair would seem to be the easier route but if the car has been in a fire or severe collision the harness replacement would be called for to eliminate cracked and/or broken insulation.

No wreck or fire on this car, so I guess I will try and figure out what is going on and repair it.
