atr header gaskets

what are the best gaskets to use for ATR headers that are not going to blow and also were to get a drive shaft loop for a custom drive shaft that is larger then stock

I use Felpro gaskets and blew one out. Some people like them and some don't. I learned that you have to retorque the header bolts occasionally, as I had some loose ones that led to the problem.

i like the copper gaskets by SCE

Fel-pro 1400's here and your local orielly's or autozone can usually get them overnight.

As long as your header surfaces are straight, you should use NO gasket. That's the way they came factory.... If they're not straight, well, that's why the gasket blows... :wink:

You just can`t beat the Copper`s
and they can be re used over and over...

Try these, put them on my GN and so far so good.

They did not make it through one trip to the track on a local low 10 sec. GN.

The SCE coppers on my car have been re-used half a dozen times checking different headers and turbos with many 9 & 10 sec. runs.

Wonder if they were tightened too much?? They say to only tighten them to 20 ft lbs. They are supposed to have a guarantee, did he pursue it??

Only have a few over 100 mph runs on them so far.

there is two diff sce gaskets on the summit website which one do I get and still need help on the drive shaft loop thanks
