Hello,

Long time Turbo Buick guy here (1979) currently my 87 motor broke the crankshaft and the motor is disassembled. The motor runs a 127.78 at the track with letting the boost go full tilt, which happened by accident with the 6262. Currently was putting down 515 ish to the tires on a conservative tune. So the question is while it's apart and I'm spending money on it, do I upgrade to the TA/Performance Flex Plate $225. and the TA_V2026 Solid Steel Balancer $290. or keep running with the stock stuff.
I currently have an external forged crank, and aftermarket connecting rods ordered from Mike and Marianne at full throttle.

I think at 9.99 and quicker you have to run a SFI balancer and flexplate. I have seen most on here go to the BHJ balancer when replacing stock.

NHRA requires a SFI balancer at 10.99 and faster.

The TA balancer is steel, not cast, and is SFI rated.

If your going to change all the parts you might want to go internal balanced.

Yeah guys, I changed the order before it shipped and went internal forged crank and got the SFI certified harmonic balancer and flexplate. Thanks !
