Bench racing in my head and wondering if anyone ever had one made and/or tried a FPC back when the Buick stage and indy stuff was in its prime. Not sure if could work due to harmonics and balance tho. Would be very light weight and would sound cool!!!

I can wire the ign coils to make it work!
If the engine is a odd fire, the crank could be balanced.
My bud recently had a flat crank. Viagra fixed it.:D

Yamaha r1s (4cyl) have been flat plane for years audi had a fpc v8 years back and now the new gt350 mustang is as well.

I'm sure it can be made to work but I can't see how it could be balanced. Isn't the advantage of the crank is no counter weights? Isn't that why its so light? If you can balance it with the ignition coils then you sir are a GURU. :D

I THINK those cranks need the same amount of journals on each side of the center line. If thats the case then you won't be able to build a flat plane'd YUGO either....or VIPER.
