I'm installing a GN dash in my El Camino. I got the dash and harness from 2 different sources. Apparently I have no ALDL port. Where does it connect to the harness at/

A couple of wires come from C437 R/H side of the glove box connector in the firewall so I'd say it's part of a main harness.

The ground is spliced into a main harness splice also that terminates above the radio.

I gave no idea what they look like. Are they a plug in type connection, or physically soldered? Better get looking for a replacement.

Let me make sure I understand what you're saying, since I don't know what you mean by C437. It's part of the engine harness, not the dash harness?

I would say it's part of the I/P harness or dash harness.

C437 is the big connector behind the glove box area 15 cavities.

Next to the ECM area and near the firewall hole for that harness.

Even with the R/H kick pad I guess where the ECM is stored.

Figure 8A-201-17A in the manual shows it nicely.
