Does anyone have or seen a GN or TR with air ride? I want to lower my GN, but I do not want it to ride like crap or bottom out over speed bumps and dips. I figure air bags on all 4 corners would be the way to go. I am not a lowrider..no plans on hopping, just want to be able to lift it up to make it up my driveway...etc.

I don't have air ride on my Buick because I don't know how well it would work on a launch, but I have them on my Bel Air. I love them. They ride great. And the car looks good low, but the variable ride height gives it some practicality. And I have had zero problems (exept for the fact that electric pumps are slow so I converted an AC compressor and use that for my air pump now).

does having an air ride suspension compromise the performance of the car? launch, et's all the important stuff. Can you vary the stiffness of the bags without raising the ride height??

Air Ride has come A LONG way in the last few years. There now is a set up made for track use (road course, not drag) that is able to "memorize" a race height/pressure, as well as street setting, slammed and scared cat. I saw it on a WRX in a tire rack ad I thought....
Regardless, if it works on road course it would work on drag, maybe now like a full drag set up, but it'd beat OEM I'd think.

here is the 4-1-1

I just talked to Tim at Hzemall. That is the company that bagged that GN. He said originally, the car was bagged with Chassis Tech components (AIM Industries) and they sucked really bad. He said the customer had everything changed out and it now runs Air Ride Technologies Shockwaves in the front and the regal rear kit in the back. The Shockwaves run 899.00 a pair and the rear kit runs 399.00, this does not include compressor, lines or tank. Tim said the regals use the same kit as the S-10 and the traditional brackets and bags with externally mounted shocks would work for alot less, but the shockwaves have the best performance.
