72's or 83's with LS1 Trans + or ME-16?

I thought I would ask you Stage 2 guys also as this group would know more about controlling larger injectors and idle qualities. This will be my new combo for 2003 that I plan to have track worthy by March. I have everything except for injectors and will either sell the Trans+ to get a ME-16 or keep it. FAST setup is way beyond my budget.

Here is what my combo will be:
Champion ported iron heads
ported lower intake/stk doghouse/RJC power plate/JJ62mmTB
PTE 218R flat tappet cam
Innovative 70BB
Spearco FMIC
ATR headers
3" DP/3.5" single exhaust
AC9" NLU or AC9.5"LU will test both
TH200-4R with some billet parts
2700lb Mazda RX-7

I am planning to get 72's as I never intend to go bigger than a "70" turbo or build a stage engine. My shortblock will consist of a "109" block with either all 4 caps or an RJC girdle, stk GN crank, and polished stock rods with ARP's.

I would like to hear the +/-'s of using the LS1 MAF with Trans+ setup vs. the ME-16.

Also 72's should be plenty of fuel.... but would 83's have better idle characteristics?
