According to a police press release, officers responded to the 700 block of Sunnyfield Lane in Brooklyn Park at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday with the caller telling police that two men were attempting to steal a white Chevrolet Suburban.
Before the officers arrived, the caller told police that the suspects had driven off in the Suburban and a dark-colored Buick Grand National. Officers saw the two vehicles on Hammonds Lane as they approached Ritchie Highway.

When officers attempted to stop the suspects, they accelerated and went in separate directions with officers attempting to follow but losing the Suburban.
Anne Arundel County and Baltimore police searched the area for the suspects when officers learned that a black Buick Grand National had been stolen from the unit block of Magothy Beach Road in Pasadena on Saturday. There were also numerous thefts from vehicles reported in the surrounding neighborhood.
An officer located the Buick stolen in Pasadena in the area of Ritchie Highway and Doris Avenue in Brooklyn Park. The officer pursued the Buick into Baltimore City and found it abandoned at the end of an alley behind the 700 block of Patapsco Avenue. Police searched the area and found Myers crouched down in a basement stairwell.
The witness to the theft in Brooklyn Park identified Myers as one of the suspects. Police searched Myers and found an item believed to have been taken in a theft on Saturday.
Officers also located the Suburban, which was abandoned a few blocks from where Myers was apprehended in the 800 block of Pontiac Avenue.
Police said items recovered from the vehicles appear to link the suspects to several thefts from vehicles and burglaries that occurred on Saturday and Sunday.
