3 Bar Map Sensor

I hooked up a used 3 Bar MAP to try out the boost harness and I could not get it to work. Is there a way to tell if this sensor is in working order?

Not very easily ... what at the symptoms of not working?

You can hook a vacuum source (I have a little hand pump that I use) to the sensor and with the Key on/engine off watch the boost reading to see if it responds and reads vacuum as you apply it.

If you want to, you can send me the boost harness and the 3 BAR with return shipping and I'll throw it on the test bench here and test the whole rig with known good components.

If it's the harness, I'll replace it, if it's the 3 BAR, we have them in stock and we can talk at that point, if you want to get one from us...

Dumb question, what is a 3 bar MAP? Still learning.

Ken, when I hooked it up, it was reading all over the place with no boost. I will try vacuum pump here and see what it does.
T-Link gave me a warning but I forgot what is said, I will try again.
Danster, the 3 bar MAP is what is used in T-Link to read boost on the progarm.
