For Sale:
3.8 Buick Long Block. This was a solid 10 sec motor with the first cam (Comp 224/224) but changed it to a Reed 210/205 and never went back to the track. Built by Arizona GN and used for approximately 2,000 miles. Has been sitting for a few years to go in a project that I'm giving up on. Has a 72 mm Precision turbo with updated intake housing, 80-lb/hr injectors, Champion GN1 heads GN1 roller rckers 1.55, Champion intake, both CNC'd, RJC 3/4" girdle, JE Forged Pistons, .030" over, Stock crank, stock rods, Reed roller Cam 210/205, Fel-Pro LOC wire head gaskets (one extra is included), chrome alternator, starter, HR Parts N Stuff motor mounts, chrome turbo cover but it does have some cracks on the chrome and I had to bend it on the side to accommodate the exhaust. No flywheel. Engine stand is included. $6,000 Located in Elkhart, IN 46514.

Never had a problem with it and it was running great when removed. I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting but I will try my best to answer any questions. Thank you.

Did you find out if its roller or flat tappet yet. I know you said you don't have time for projects any more but would you consider anything towards partial trade. Complete stock 3.8 engine, 4.1 short block, stock turbo, ta 49, doors, trunk, fenders etc.

I'm interested just not quite where you are price wise right. Although its a fair deal

Sorry, no trades. I'm completely out of the car building game. Just bought a new car and that is all I want.

As far as the cam goes, I can't figure it out and it's not on the paperwork from Arizona GN when they built it for me. I pulled the valve cover and the rockers are roller but I don't know how to tell if the cam is. I have a picture of the spec sheet on the cam, can someone tell from this? I searched Reed Cams but it seems they went out of business. Someone smarter than me can hopefully figure this out. Thanks.

If you were willing separate, I would be interested in the intake and roller rockers.

I'll give you 6k if you meet me half way. I'm in Memphis tn. So a 4 hr drive for both of us. Lmk.

Are you sure that is a roller cam with the valve spring pressures so low? My roller is set to 120 seated, 400 open.

Just to clarify i either didnt see the info on the bottom end or it was added later. I am not trying to bad mouth this engine.

It isn't a roller cam according to the cam card. It was however a really popular flat tappet back in the day.

I could be wrong but are the push rods wrong or to short?

Shouldn't the adjustment screw on the rockers be above the lock nut???
I have 3 different cam cards in my paperwork and the reed is the one I thought it was but I could be wrong. I pulled the rockers and push rods and look down in there, it definitely has roller lifters.

Sorry for all of the confusion but I found the correct paperwork for the cam. Looks like it may be sold will verify.
