12 bolt rear end

I was told a 12 bolt truck rear will bolt up perfectly to our cars with the exception of the axles and tubes being a little longer. Is this true? If, it is which trucks have the correct rear?

Truck 12bolt no. The truck is a leaf spring axle vs car 4 link. The a-body 12bolt with swap with some mods and swap control arms. Turbo Buicks and Olds 442s came with 8.5's which are a sturdy axle to begin with.

Instead of going to a 12 bolt rear axle, I'd definitely go with a Ford 9"...:wink:
