I have to order pistons for a friends car that burned a head and a piston ,car was a 8 to 1 motor , we are going to go 10 to 1 unless anyone can tell us why we should'nt .
Its a stage mtr ,street car ,3925 lbs ,76 turbo ,gn 1 heads

Thanks Mark

If you are going to street 91 octane drive it you will have to run almost no boost. It should rip on c-16 though.

Had this conversation with Richard Lee and Kenny Dutweiler. Most of Kenny's V-6's are 8.5:1 c/r and Richard does not go beond 9.25:1. Richard said that it is difficult to tune a turbo car with the higher c/r's and Kenny likes the turbo to do the work.

10:1CR sounds like ur gonna need to run C-16 in that puppy all the time. The high compression ratio should definitely spool that turbo up quick!

It seems like the smaller engines like more compression on turbo cars. A lot of import racers (racers not ricers) run 10.0+ and boost on top of that. I like the idea. If 8.5 compression and 30 PSIG boost is good, 10.0 compression and 30 PSIG boost should be better, right??
