Engine stripped so made notes of oil drillings - might be of use to others. Notes - - dry sump oiling - feeds into front of RH gallery via -10 external hose - rocker arms etc oiled by -03 external hoses from RH gallery - lifters oiled by 1/32" drill holes from galleries (original holes blocked)

At what RPM does an RPM Kit become necessary? Just bought new valves and valve springs from Ferrea and they say with their valve springs RPM Kit not necessary - keeping to 7000 max. Anyone agree? Disagree?

Stage II - 252 - NA - road race. There are two main oil feed locations - one front, one rear - both feed directly down into the main oil gallery. Does it matter which one is used? I changed from front to rear at last rebuild (2013) and now notice more wear on front main, rod and cam bearings...

Stage II 252, Kinsler intakes, road racing I need new roller lifters to go with a new cam. Current bore size is .875". I believe the standard size is .842" - is that correct? Any suggestions who might make that size (.875") Thx - Derek

Simple question from a simple guy. Torqued my rod bolts to 80 lb.ft (SBS CARR bolts, max 100 lb.ft) and needed to unfasten one rod to inspect something. It only needed 65 lb.ft to unfasten. Is this difference normal? Lubed of course (I'm not that simple!) Thx - Derek
