Please confirm my recollection of bottom end torque specs -
- just doing a winter bearing check -
- mains - 1/2 " studs - 100 ft.lbs.?
- mains - 7/16" bolts - 65 or 70?
- rods - 7/16" bolts - 70?

Engine is Stage 2, even fire, on center, very similar to Indy Lights.
NA not turbo. Originally built as race engine by Brayton Engineering.

Main caps #2 and #3 have both 1/2" studs and 7/16 bolts.

Thx - Derek

Rod bolts need to be torqued via stretch, at this level. Need to know what brand of bolt being used, call the manufacturer and get the spec. Most of the good rod bolts need around 80+ to reach proper stretch.
Your main specs "should" work fine. Choice of lube makes a difference. Can you call the machinist that line honed block and ask him what he torqued the mains too, and what lube?
