Checking the FP at idle does not really tell you much. You need to check the FP when under boost. If this is false knock you would get it under 1/2 or 3/4 throttle and even 5-10 lbs of boost. If you are seeing the problem at 15lbs of boost then your FP should go from 43 to 58 or so. You run...

Have you checked the coil pack? From each opposite side tower with an ohm meter should have about 11-13K resistance.

Can you describe the symptoms of a bad cam sensor that might need to be rebuilt? How long should a cam sensor last? How would one know if the Cap, interrupter ring or the actual cam sensor was the issue?

Hi, Just rebuilt the front end suspension got it aligned but the steering box is shot. The parts stores list a 2 1/2 for Sport Susp. (FE2, FE3) and 3 1/2 turn boxes. I am assuming the 2.5 box. Is there an upgrade to these boxes that I should look out for? Any suggestions? thanks Rob

Have you tried to actually start a car with it. I think most battery chargers can get the voltage back to 12.5 volts however if the Cranking amps are not 600+ the battery will not be able to start most cars.

You really did not describe the race or how it was set up. I would think that at a drag strip where you could build some boost off the line you would easily walk away from that. Think about a weak launch in a head soaked turbo car could get you a high 14 pass, and a great launch in a SC car...
