I think that the 18 would be a great choice but the 17 has some advantages. 17" tire selection for drag radials and slicks are more plentiful than the 18's. The 17" wheel also allows some sidewall wrinkle to still happen during the launch vs the tight 18" sidewall. I also think the 17" wheel...
