I was under the impression that I could file standard rings down and when I mentioned that when I was about to order my rings, he said I needed file to fit rings. Summitracing told me that and also total seal told me I needed file to fit. I got so confused today.

I saw those and didn't recognize that company so I wasn't sure.

I'm assuming ring gaps are different for hyper pistons from forged. I was gonna go with the speed-pro hypers but since file fit rings are hard to find I'm leaning towards forged pistons from Webber.

I'm looking for file fit rings for 3.840 piston with 5/64,5/64,and 3/16. I called Total Seal and they don't have them. Any suggestions?

Is it possible to file non file fit rings?

Will the s10-blazer drop spindles work as well?

Just by looking at it when I dropped it off, he said it would be better to go another .010 than just honing. He did say he would check to be sure though and get back with me before anything was done.

Ok. I was needing the .040. Same ones just in .040. Total Seal are the only rings I could find for 5/64 and 3/16 for ring thickness.

Which part number for the speed pro pistons for .040? L2481f40 are the ones I found but they were $330. Same ones you mentioned?

I just pressure washed my engine bay and k member while the engine was out. It looks like there was some type of coating I washed off the k member. What should I spray back on it?

Measured the lift on it and it's .466
