thanks for the replies,the sound actually sounds like it is coming out of the exhaust pipe,I will check all connections tonight but I think that the cat sounds like a possibility,thanks again for the advice

started up my 87 today and there is a clanging in the exhaust,sounds like a screw rattling around in it( I know there isnt but that is the sound) it is more prevalent in the passenger side exhaust and more prevalent when idling in park,any suggestions would be appreciated,thanks

I just changed the oil in my 87 and went with the amsoil 10-30 and also used their oil filter.I think as far as oil goes all synthetics are fairly equal,if you have a higher mileage car or one that hasnt been taken care of and you switch from petroleum based to a synthetic you may start to...
